We survived! :)
We survived the weekend camping and actually had a really good time! The weather was amazing and the leaves are beginning to change so it was totally beautiful in the mountains. I will post pics as soon as we get them uploaded. We still have some unpacking and cleaning to do, but I am heading off to bed here in a minute...as good as it was, it has still been an incredibly long, tiring weekend as well! :) Love to all and thanks for those warm thoughts...they worked!!

Friends Clip
Part of me wants to call the number to see if Phoebe shows up! ;) ...And "Anytime, Anywhere"- Really??

I also had to include a pic of Jack enjoying the beautiful fall weather! Jason is on fall break right now and is off camping with his friend Patrick. Then we will be packing up Friday to go camping again. It is going to be so flippin' cold....be sure to send warm thoughts our way!! :)

Finally!!
Shhh...do you hear that?? Yea..that's the sound of peace and quiet! :) Jack is at Nana's on this lovely Friday evening. I could not be more excited about a peaceful night's rest and sleeping in! :)
I am also finally blogging after way, WAY too long! Jack is all better and we have made it through yet another week. I am working my hiney off during the week trying to get all papers graded and lessons planned for the following week so that I can come home on Fridays and leave the school worries behind. So far my plan is working and I don't dread Sunday nights as much! :)
The only major plans slated for this weekend are taking Mom out for a belated birthday dinner at Regas - mmmm! And then Sunday morning we are going to get family pictures taken. I picked Sunday morning thinking all normal, God-fearing folk will be at church here in E. Tennessee. Maybe we can expect more peace and quiet in the studio than there would be on a Saturday morning.
Speaking of church, I am seriously considering a church switch. Jason just recently joined NPPC and I could not ask for a better pastor there. I don't know if I'm just picky, but she is one of the few pasters whose sermons have ever really moved me.
So the search is on considering that the thirty minute drive is really hampering our regularity at church. Ha - I say regularity like we've been recently - try ....like...April. We will continue looking, but I have an awful feeling that Advent will roll around and I will be yearning for the candles in hurricanes, stained glass, and arched cathedral ceilings of New Prov....we'll see.
If anybody has any church suggestions, just let me know. I am looking for a fairly liberal congregation and pastor, with a good children's program, close to Fountain City. Hopefully these requests are not asking too much! :) Love to all and have a wonderful weekend!!

Jack is a sicky.
So Jack has definitely got the bug! He has been having some serious diarrhea all day (yes, I know you want the details..) and his poor little booty is just raw. He is staying home tomorrow with his Mimi, who thank goodness for us is off work for a bit.
She is in a walking cast because she had a break in her foot. (Ouch!) She says she can get around enough to chase Jack tomorrow, which I really, really appreciate, seeing as how days off are a real pain. I wish I could stay home with him tomorrow though. I fully realize she will do a marvelous job, but even if the best MD in the U.S. was home with him tomorrow, I still would not be satisfied - cause we all know nobody takes care of you like mommy! :)
Anyhow - that's our update for now...hopefully I can update tomorrow evening with good news about a healthy boy! :) Love to all and stay well!!!

Mmm...cupcake....
Just writing to say that we are still here and surviving a five day work week. Last week was such a treat having labor day off. Can't we have every Monday off??
I thought I'd put up some cute pictures to brighten up your hump day! :)
Last Sunday Jack enjoyed a yummy chocolate cupcake (from Sweet Celebrations) that we brought home from Dawson's birthday party. Jack was loving the cupcake! The child absolutely adores sweets....wonder where he gets that from....? :)

Such a mischievous grin! :)

Just an average Saturday ..complete with party and tattoo!
We celebrated Dawson's big THREE on Saturday. He was quite the adorable birthday boy and everyone had a fabulous time. Jack loved being around all of those people and left extremely exhausted. He definitely had a blast! :)

With Aunt Linda (Emily's mom)

Doing the beanbag "toss"

The birthday boy in his football "gear"

Jack like his grand dad before him loves to man the drinks...in this case it was just coke and water... :)

Dawson in his brand new Bama helmet

Blowing out candle on that yummy cupcake!

Jack rockin' a Batman tattoo...Aunt Linda and mommy just couldn't resist! :)
Later that evening we wound down with a visit from Big Jack and Sue. It was a lot of fun, seeing as Jack absolutely loves company. He had a very big day!!
